  • Don't we all desire and need "do-overs?" We have reset buttons on our computers, cell phones, routers, etc.. We love to make New Year's resolutions. There are things we did in our past that we wish we could do differently. Well, the "Eat Live Thrive Diet" book is just the reset button that this (now-older) body needed! My eating habits were starting to get out of control--and being in my 50s, it caught up with me very quickly! It not only showed in my tight and uncomfortable clothes, but it also showed up in my blood work and mental (not-so) well-being!

    Enter Danna and Robyn's book!

    One biggie that I like is not feeling deprived!! The recommended food during the Elimination Phase (I chose to do Level 3) is very satisfying; the recipes are super good, too! The elimination of sugars and grains really gave my body the break it so desperately needed; without a doubt, the demeanor "under my own skin" is now more calm and relaxed!! I am currently in the Discovery Phase, but quite honestly, I felt like I could have stayed on the Elimination Phase forever--it showed me that choosing wisely means I don't have to feel deprived! Yes, I've been losing weight as well as inches, but I have also lost the near-addictive cravings that were controlling my life--an even healthier indication of how well this plan works!

    Do you wish your body had a reset button? Well, I have good news for you! The plan in this book is just that! In just a few days you can be on your way to feeling better than you probably have in years, if not decades!! Enjoy thriving!

  • Our “diet” is our lifestyle of how and what we eat. As a woman over 50 I have struggled with the mid-section weight gain. I was excited to read this book, which I received a pre-release copy from waterbrookmultnomah. (Thank you for that advance copy!). I haven’t fully implemented all the strategies of this lifestyle. There are several elements of this lifestyle that I agree with 100% and are important factors in our lives. The first and most important to me is the power of self-talk and changing our thought process and gaining victory in our minds. I have read and seen scans of our brains and how our thoughts play such an important role in our lives. Our thoughts affect our attitude, our responses to others, how we feel, how we perceive ourselves and the world around us. Change happens from the inside our. In my opinion basing this on truth, God’s word, is extremely important and is fundamental.
    Danna and Robyn also discuss intermittent fasting and cutting certain foods for a short period while you go through an elimination phase. There are three levels to choose from. 😀 After the elimination phase you move to the discovery phase where you start introducing foods one at a time back into your diet to see how your body reacts. The last phase is a lifestyle phase. As I mentioned above, I haven’t made it very far and I’m still in the elimination phase.
    During the pre-release of this book I was able to interact on a coaching call. I can tell you that Danna and Robyn really care about people and want to truly help them achieve their goals and succeed. There were some basic things I learned that to some they might already know. I’m looking forward to seeing my results as I continue to implement this lifestyle.
    They also have recipes, I made an egg one this morning and served it to some guests and everyone enjoyed! I’m going to make one of their sweet treats after I finish this review!
  • I love this book. It seemed like the authors wrote this just for me. I'm sure others are saying the same thing. It's written in easily understandable language and includes wonderful recipes. As you start the book it's almost like sitting and having a converstation with about how to go about not just dieting, but also life changes that bring about a better overall feeling. It shows you how to target this diet plan to fit you, in other words it's not a one fits all diet plan. This book targets women who have reached perimenapause or menapause age, but I believe anyone could benefit from this book. It's a book that I would recommend to anyone.
