If surly, growly Aavat didn't want to help, all he had to do was shrug those broad, bronze shoulders.

Surely there'd be nothing one little human could do to encourage him, right?

I just wanted to save the cute little critter...

Cute, little alien critter, but still.

It needed my help getting out of that awful cage.

How was I supposed to know how much trouble it would lead to?

Rogue Hunt is the second science fiction adventure romance in the Rogue Star series. Hop on for the ride!

"Someone else said they were cookie cutter aliens. I wouldn't know. There's no description of the characters (or none worth it's time) to tell the reader what they look like. I'm 15% in and I don't even know what the main female character looks like. The aliens aren't "alien" at all; they act, speak and think just like humans. And then the author had to throw in the incredibly stupid, belligerent and arrogant female character you want to murder. I loath it when authors portray women in such a poor way. Some belligerence, yes, but the outright stupidity is beyond belief; this has become a bad trope in the scifi romance I've been reading lately. Please stop. We're also expected to believe an entire space station only has FEMALE personnel? The story lacks depth and intelligence from the first. Could have been written in a few days with no attempt to flesh out the story or characters. Do not recommend."

Rogue Hunt A Science Fiction Alien Romance Rogue Star Book 2 edition by Elin Wyn Ava York Romance eBooks Reviews

  • Not worth all these five stars if you want something realistic. Characters are all carbon copies with alien physical description, you know three eyes, tails and various other appendages along with different colors. The crew and females are all up for saint hood. Shenna with all her jumping, clapping, squealing acted like a middle school cheer squad. In fact she acted so much Ilike a pre-teen I was disgusted with the sex.
  • I know some reviewers are saying they don't understand the four and five star reviews but to be honest I don't understand anyone giving it less than that because, as with all Ms Wyn's books, I found it exciting, entertaining and just darn good fun. I knew in book one that I would love Aavat. His sarcasm and dry wit tickled me no end and I just loved how Shenna brought out the softer side of him and how he helped her accept herself and her past and become the confident within herself. I enjoyed the characters and the story kept me engaged from start to finish.
  • Don't know how this book got so many 4 star's....the books are over priced...and I personally won't be buying any more of this series...I thought the first book was ok....but this one just kinda went down hill for me...skimmed thru most of it to get it over with....why would anyone risk their life an the lives of others for a poof? Ya I feel sorry for any animal that is caged BUT....with the seriousness of their situation....the sex scenes...meh....and no guards at the door to a room full of slaves....no cameras...no alarms....it wasn't believable....but to each ...there own right?
  • We finally get to see the real side of Shenna and Aavat. He comes across a as uncaring, rough and tumble. She is supposedly sweet, bashful and quiet. How wrong! Check out this story to find out how they show each other their true insides.
  • I enjoyed this book very much and would recommend it to anyone who loves stories about aliens and their mates.

  • This is another exciting series. I love every one of the books I've read by this author. That being said, I had a bit of difficulty liking Sheena. She just struck me as a bit stuck up in the beginning. Aavat I could understand more. When the "lovebug" bites I wasn't surprised that he was so easy to talk into taking risks. For a poof ball pet. Now, Poof was really cute and easy to become infatuated with. Once she stopped trying so hard to be someone else and let her original personality come out, I found that I liked her more. The way the women of the crew have adapted to their new life is fabulous and the guys are not as scary either. Sheena really had a positive effect on Aavat and he was almost funny. There was the constant threat of violence and being caught, plus a bit of fun mixed in with all the danger. One thing is certain, the crew of the Rogue Star are protectors and will get to the bottom of this conspiracy. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
  • The adventures continue on into this book of the series with plenty of excitement, danger and new love.
Aavat is literally the sweetest alien and also the most protective. Sheena is so funny and lighthearted and she really made the story interesting. Together they made a great team and had a carefree way about them that took some of the seriousness of their situations away despite the dangers and missions they were on. I loved their flirtiness and banter between the two of them. It was really endearing. Can't wait for the next book! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
